History of VoIP
Until you have a better understanding of what existing call standards, you need to know a little more about the system that came before it: VoIP (Voice over IP) which is a communications technology designed to provide voice and multimedia communications over Internet protocol networks.
For decades, voice services have been provided by public switch telephone network, essentially the same (and still analog) services that most people hold in their homes and offices. When you need to provide resources to additional customers (like a company hiring many new workers to deal with seasonal fluctuations), this can be done immediately. There are no new telephone lines to be installed, in fact, no wires need to be extended across the facility.
That’s why VoIP goes up incredibly quickly. Businesses should avoid falling into the pit of wasting huge amounts of equipment because their recruitment forecasts simply cannot be used because they are not as successful as they had hoped.
At the same time, a variety of call applications are enabled. However, for most applications, the main advantage of VoIP call is that it is associated with an increased level of mobility. Similarly, if you are preparing for your flight departure in the airport lounge, you can receive the same call from the same number from your laptop (provided, there is an active internet connection).
This is not only about how comfortable communication is in the modern age, but it also implies that VoIP is making a huge leap in terms of the factors over which communications can go forward.
