Apple announces Apple TV+

On 25 March 2019, Apple gave a preview of its much-anticipated new video streaming subscription service called Apple TV+ in its Steve Jobs theatre, Cupertino, CA. Its announced that Apple TV+ will be launched this fall. Apple will be partnering with HBO and other providers for its originals.

Apple TV+ will feature mainly original TV shows, and movies instead of mixed originals and licensed programs from its rivals Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. Apple has not announced whether the app will be available for Android or Windows or even for the web browsers such as Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Firefox.

Also, Apple announced some of the channels in Apple TV are Acorn TV, BritBox, CBS All Access, Cinemax, CollegeHumor’s Dropout, Epix, Eros Now, HBO, Lifetime Movie Club, Mubi, MTV Hits, Nickelodeon Hits, Noggin, PBS Living, Showtime, Shudder, Smithsonian Channel Plus, Starz, Sundance Now, Tastemade, Up Faith and Family, Urban Movie Channel.
