The Android Q will be featuring new improvements and enhanced privacy features,

Clipboard Access

Android Apps will not be allowed to access the clipboard data unless they are in the foreground.

Random MAC Addresses

Android Q will transmit random MAC address for all communications every time, making communications difficult to track.

Device details

Android Q will remove the functionality that will transmit information about the device’s network state.

IMEI, Serial Number sensitive data protection

Special app permission will be introduced that is required when apps request sensitive device information such as IMEI, device’s serial number.

Special permission for location data

Going forward from Android Q apps will be given either location access all time or only when the app is in the foreground. Bluetooth protection permissions now will be granular level.

Dark Theme

Dark theme will be device-wide if it’s been enabled, also allowing user’s to save battery life.
