LogNet Billing scores a double at IT World Awards

LogNet Billing today announced that the company has won two awards at the recent IT World Awards event.

For the first award, LogNet won in the category for the Best IT Solution for Utilities. LogNet was recognized with this award for its MaxBill system.

LogNet describes MaxBill as a full featured customer management and billing solution. The company states that the system supports multiple service environments and includes features for rating, CRM, order management, billing, partner management and reconciliation. LogNet claims that service providers using MaxBill can offer attractive packages with automated service delivery, simplified customer support and transparent billing.
For its utilities customers, LogNet provides MaxBill with a flexible workflow engine that allows the system to be configured to comply with local regulations.

For the second award, LogNet Billing was given the award for the Best Deployment in Latin America. In this category, LogNet received this award for the company’s deployment of the MaxBill system for its customer in Chile, Amigo Solar.
Amigo Solar is a competitive provider of electricity in Chile and supplies a combination of renewable and traditional energy. LogNet reports that Amigo Solar uses MaxBill to handle its customer management and billing activities, including the systems’ advanced billing and reconciliation capabilities in order to support multi-layered pricing schemes.

In a previous statement, Amigo Solar’s CEO, Yuri Sylvester explained that MaxBill serves “as the backbone of our digital back office” and is helping the company capitalize on the market opportunity in Chile to supply renewable energy at prices lower than existing rates.

The IT World Awards is an annual achievements and recognition program. The event highlights the year’s best products, services and technologies in all sectors of information technology.

In response, Kirill Rechter, CEO at LogNet, stated that winning “these two awards clearly articulate the benefits and importance of our Modern Billing strategy”.

In addition to Amigo Solar, LogNet lists First Utility in the UK and Infostan in Serbia as other utilities companies that use the MaxBill system.
