According to Alain “Lino” Tadros, President and CEO of Falafel Software, the two biggest and most common challenges faced by a Microsoft customer fall into two categories — mobile apps and web-powered content.
It’s no surprise that mobile apps are currently a huge segment of software development, and just like there was a time when companies had to get on the web in order to remain relevant, the same is true for many companies today when it comes to having a presence in the major mobile app stores. The challenge on the mobile front is how to economically get apps into all of the platforms a client’s users expect — and this is where Falafel comes in.
Falafel offers their clients a variety of options depending on their app’s specific requirements, ranging from hybrid apps built using Cordova to Xamarin-based native apps or even fully native solutions.

Falafel’s team also works side-by-side with their customers to build custom web applications that enable interactivity that wasn’t feasible just a few years ago by building the app directly on Microsoft’s ASP.NET stack or on top of partner platforms like Sitecore, Sitefinity, or open-source projects like Orchard.
The solutions developed by Falafel helped Key Software Systems, a courier and dispatch technology company, to leverage ASP.NET, Kendo UI, Google Maps, and SQL Server Spatial Data in the construction of a web-based multi-tenant fleet tracking system. Falafel established the framework of the application, and wrote major portions of functionality that Key Software’s internal developers could then continue to reference as examples while they implemented additional functionality.
The expert team at Falafel includes MVPs, authors, trainers, and certified experts who are well known throughout the industry for their speaking engagements and contributions to the community. They’re typically the preferred partners for the ISVs with whom they work.
With new technologies emerging daily, Falafel is excited to see what the future holds, and prides themselves on evolving just as fast as the technology does. There are three things Falafel guarantees regardless of how technology evolves — they will continue to provide customers with top notch services, continue to strengthen relationships with their partners, and they will continue to seek out the best talent to join their team.
“For a solutions company like Falafel Software, the health and vibrancy of the company is a direct reflection of its people. Literally, the people make up the company and provide the solutions, and if you look at our team, you will find that the depth of experience, the industry recognition, and just the overall quality is all top tier” says Tadros.
Executives need to examine trends and predict where their customers are going, and be waiting for them when they get there. “Don’t try too hard to keep customers from moving in the direction technology (and industry) trends are taking them – at best that just buys a little time” adds Tadros.
