As the streaming service war heats up, some companies are turning to the old wait to gain an edge- ad-supported content.
What is Freedrive?
IMDB has launched a new service called Freedive, which allows users to watch a solid set of movies and TV shows for free. Lot of good movies to be named that you can watch for free.
The newly launched service is the first for Amazon (which owns IMDB), following the example set by YouTube last year. Google’s service began offering free movies to a stream supported by ad breaks. However, its content has never been as strong as Freedrive’s content already is, which should give it an edge over new media.
Freedrive and YouTube offer an option to switch from streaming services like Netflix and Hulu. Instead of paying a monthly fee, you can watch free movies with some ads. It’s like watching old movies on network television.
To view FreeDrive content you need to create an IMDB account or sign in with your Amazon credentials and you can start watching a ton of new movies for free.
